Gossip Girl - Season 4 Episode 3 - 'The Undergraduates'

Okay here we go... !

(I'm not going to reread this because I just know that it is going to be a bit lengthy... so excuse any errors or mistakes, please!)

It was the first day of school (at Columbia) for Blair and Serena.  They are trying to be a part of the Hamilton House... which seems to be some sort of high class sorority/club.  What a coincidence is it that Juliet (Nate's new GF... who told someone over the phone that she misses them in an earlier episode) is the person who hands out the key... the "Key Master", I guess.  Juliet pretends not to remember who Serena is, but of course she does!  She claims that there is only one key left... and it was for Blair.  Of course Blair is going to take it because its her key that will let her climb higher on the socialite ladder.  Serena doesn't need that club to feel like a socialite anyway.... she's a natural!  Unfortunately though, everyone seemed too busy for Serena.  Blair has the Hamilton House, Dan has Mylo, and Nate is too busy with Juliet and claims that he's a part of the Hamilton House (though I thought it was a similar to a sorority... an all girls' type of club... confusing).  Of course, Blair is going to soak it up if it helps her social life.  She even ditched Serena for dinner... and Juliet manipulated Blair multiple times.  Crazy how Juliet had the power to manipulate Blair of all people... the QUEEN of Manipulation if you ask me.  Of course, Gossip Girl got a clip of Blair toasting with the Hamilton House girls just after she canceled on Serena and lied of her whereabouts.  Blair then starts to believe that Serena is jealous of her entrance into the social group.  Later on, Serena sees another girl leave the Hamilton House with a key... even after Juliet told her that the "last" key is Blair's.  Tsk tsk tsk... lies!

Serena confronts Juliet about the last key lie and Juliet convinced Serena that Blair was the person who didn't want Serena to be part of the Hamilton House. She said that Blair told the committee information about Serena that made them decide not to qualify her for the Hamilton House, including about a sex tape with Pete Thurman. On the night of Fashion Night Out, Serena and Blair plotted a fight scene between the two and Gossip Girl streamed it live on her site. The Devil named Juliet decided to plug it into the TVs at the event to show it to everyone. Little did she know that Serena and Blair were planned it all along to catch Juliet in her bitchy trap. MODED! She claims that she had nothing to do with the decision and it was the alumni committee that made the decision as to who is IN and who is OUT. Turns out that half of the Bass Industries was part of the committee and Lily confronts her with that and makes her hand over her key to Serena, who had always been at the top of the list to be part of the Hamilton House.

In other news, Chuck brought Eva to New York with him and she is discovering his "world".  He claimed that Eva had changed him and tries to introduce him to everyone in his world... his friends and his family.  She thinks that Chuck's life is... "perfect"... but she has NO IDEA.  She has no idea because Chuck never told her his truth.  Lily invited Chuck and Eva to Fashion's Night Out so they can all meet and mingle.  Rufus and Erik aren't crazy about the idea and doesn't want Chuck around because of what he did to Jenny.  (Dude... its Jenny's fault... that biyotch!)

While Eva is shopping for a dress for Fashion's Night Out, Blair happens to end up at the same store and runs into Eva.  She was being the snobby Blair that she is and made rude comments to Eva... calling her a peasant and basically implying that she doesn't belong.  Though I love Blair, that was the ultimate bitch move and I would have slapped her then and there.  Seriously, how could anyone (even Blair Waldorf) live with themselves after saying such cruel things to another human being?  I felt so hurt for Eva and even got sort of teary eyed.  I'm not fond of Eva and she really doesn't have a place to belong on 'Gossip Girl's world, but she just really deserved a hug at that moment.  Poor poor girl! (No pun intended)  OUCH... I still feel the sting for her.  Eva then feels intimidated by Blair and feels a little hurt after what Blair said to her (of course) and she feels like she doesn't belong so she almost didn't go to Fashion Night Out.  Thankfully, sweet talker Chuck talks her into going... and she does!

Chuck approaches Erik and Rufus at the event and tries to apologize for what had happened, but of course, he isn't forgiven.  Rufus is still furious and wants to tell Chuck's new girlfriend what kind of a man she is, and Eva overhears. Rufus asked if that was her, and Chuck lied that she was another social climber trying to get with Chuck Bass and whoever she is, she is not with him. (He is only saying this to stop Rufus from airing out his dirty laundry to her right then and there) Of course Eva is hurt and walks away... trying to leave the event. Chuck stops her from leaving and tries to explain that he was not ashamed of her, but he was ashamed of himself. He tells her everything... or so we think.

Chuck confronts Blair about talking to Eva but Blair brushed it off as if she didn't do anything wrong, as usual. At that point, Eva walks in and told Chuck that she chooses to stay with him... so he introduces her to his Family. Nate finds Juliet and asked her if the reason why she did what she did was because of him, and of course she says yes.

Serena happens to see Nate kiss Juliet and Blair walks in and says, "Once men have tasted caviar, it baffles me how they settle for catfish." - HAHA... now THAT is funny.

Rufus insists that Dan is not Mylo's Father (of course he isn't).  Georgina left on a "spa" getaway, but I suspected that she was just trying to abandon Mylo and leave him with Dan.  Gossip Girl posts a picture of Georgina relaxing in St. Bart's... caught!  So Dan tries to hunt her down, but has no luck.  Dan was faced with the decision to give Mylo up for adoption, but that is not what he wants, so he decides to keep Mylo. Vanessa offers to step in and help out with Mylo, so she withdrew from her classes to help Dan. All of a sudden, Georgina shows up at Dan's and Dan confronts her about her "spa getaway" and that he knows that Mylo is not his son. She of course, was ready to explain herself. She had a very well thought out story and told Dan that she was threatened to be killed by a Russian businessman's wife. (Who knows if that was even the truth? You never know with that girl!)

Georgina decided to move back in with her Parents and is taking Mylo with her, so she and Mylo move out while Vanessa moves in. Blair has Serena move in with her and they become roommates for the school year. Eva ends up staying with Chuck... seems like everyone is getting a new roommate, right?
Juliet visits a guy in prison who seems to be the one who is making Juliet do everything that she is doing. At first I thought it was Carson Basin, but it isn't him because its a totally different guy... unless GG is pulling a soap opera move and replacing actors with different ones thinking that we wouldn't notice. So... who could that guy be and what business does he have trying to sabotage the GG world? Ahhh... suspense!

  • Do you think Eva is going to stick around?
  • WHO is that in prison?
  • When will Little J (Jenny) come back? Its better now that she's gone anyway, but she's gonna have to come back eventually, like Georgina!
  • Speaking of Georgina... was her story a lie? When will she pop up next with more drama? Crazy girl!

Why Did I Get Married Too? - MOVIE

Last night, my Husband and I had a movie night... the whole nine yards with wine, cheese, and crackers... and a small little candle (just because).

Our movie of choice (well, my choice) -

Tyler Perry's WHY Did I Get Married Too?

We saw the first one not too long ago and I really liked it and was waiting for this one to come out.  We rarely go to the movie theaters anymore (prices are too crazy... money better spent on dessert).  This had been out on DVD for quite some time now, but we finally got a chance to get a hold of it last night.  I usually have TV shows lined up or plans on nights when none  of my favorite TV shows are on, so this was somewhat of a special occasion.  :)

Now, onto the movie...

I love the fact that the four couples in the movie have an annual trip, somewhat like a couples' retreat.  It really reminds me of my circle of friends here in California... always going on little adventures and trips together.  The couples are all so different and you'd have to watch the first movie to get the full meaning and story behind it all.  I will not write a lengthy synopsis, but I will tell you that it is definitely worth a watch.

I can see myself in a few of the characters.  Yes, I can be the crazy and psychotic and dramatic Wife, but I can also be the nice and passive Wife who lets things slide or just wants to please everyone.  I am also the Wife who bottles a lot of emotions inside at times.  Writing this all out makes me wonder if I am bipolar... or multipolar at that! (Is that even a word?)

At the end of the movie, I was reminded that we should not take anyone and/or anything for granted.  Marriage is about trust AND honesty... you get what you give.  I found myself teary eyed at a few scenes, but thats nothing new since I am teary eyed pretty easily.

Anyway, I recommend this to anyone and everyone who believes in love... especially for the married couples and couples in serious relationships and thinking of taking that next step.  This is also a refreshing movie for those who are "looking" for love... it makes you realize that love and marriage is not always a walk in the park.  Matter of fact, its a whole lot of work!

I hope you enjoy this, if you do decide to see it.  If you've seen it before, what do you think? :)

Gossip Girl - Season 4 Episode 2 - 'Double Identity'

I will be the first to admit that I had higher expectations for this episode.  Was it just me or was the excitement just not there tonight?

I already knew that the body found was not Chuck's.  I already knew that Blair was going to have another chance with the Prince.  I also already expected Blair and Chuck to cross paths... they'd have to!

Basically what happened was Serena was called to go identify the body that they thought was Chuck's.  Of course, it wasn't.  Meanwhile, Blair's car coincidentally stopped where Chuck was walking to his new job.  What are the odds of that in reality?  You know... not in the Gossip Girl world?  Serena finds Blair as Blair gets ready for her date with the Prince (who was giving her another chance) and tells her about the body being found that was mistaken for Chuck because of the wallet, ID, passport, and phone.  Of course, cross referencing, they came to the conclusion that Chuck is still alive and in Paris because Blair saw him.  SO... Serena, thinking so highly of Chuck decides to visit every bar in Paris to look for him because knowing him, he would practically live at a bar, right?  What are the odds? She stumbles upon the bar where Chuck just started working at.

SO... after Chuck saw Blair, he decided that he and Eva (his new French girlfriend) should move to London.  Why? Because he saw Blair in Paris and he was probably afraid that she would reveal his identity.  Eva was concerned because they were broke and couldn't afford tickets to London.  Of course, the almighty Chuck Bass came to the rescue with a buttload of money for tickets and such.

QUESTION OF THE EPISODE:  How the heck did Chuck come up with the money and paperwork (to sign over his assets to Lily later on) when he was just robbed and was found in the alley by Eva?  Did it just appear out of thin air or what?  He must have had to contact someone to send it over, right?  But who since he had not been in contact with anyone. The other conclusion is that he hid all those paperwork and money so well that when Eva found and cleaned him up, she didn't find any of it.  Maybe he swallowed it right before he got shot and pooped it out in time when all of this went down?  Who knows?

Serena of course hunted Chuck down and found him in the loft he was living in with Eva.  She tried to convince him to go back home to the states to take care of business, but of course, Chuck says no and says something sweet like he lost the only thing he cared about (Blair).  Serena then returns to Blair where she was getting ready for a ball with the Prince (Louie) and tried to convince her to help stop Chuck from changing his identity.  She pretended not to care and proceeded with her plans.  Serena then got a note saying "I'd rather have nothing than to be Chuck Bass" or something like that.  Attached was all the paperwork signing over his assets over.  (Yup... the paperwork that appeared in Paris out of nowhere because a billionaire would really walk around with this paperwork, right?)  Then, Serena got called over to go to Harry Winston to claim the ring that the thief/robber had sold back to Harry Winston for cash.  Conveniently, Harry Winston remembers that Chuck Bass made the purchase and told the detectives about it after his body was found (though it was never made public that Chuck Bass property and supposed body was found... good ol' Harry just KNEW... that psychic!).  Anyway, Blair was also coincidentally at Harry Winston picking out some jewelry for the ball, and this was when Serena told Blair that Chuck was going to propose to her and he had gotten shot trying to hold onto that ring.  At this point, Blair decided to try to stop Chuck also so she went with Serena to the train station.  They talked and it was heartwarming... they looked so perfect for each other and I insist they have to be back together again.

Later, Chuck decided to return to the states and told Eva who he was... and he is bringing Eva with him to New York.  Watch out, now...!

Back in the States, the whole Nate/Dan situation was snore worthy and pretty boring.  Long story short, Juliet tries to help Nate bring Dan (his competition) down.  She told Vanessa that Dan still had feelings for her, and of course, Vanessa and Dan sleep together... Dan finds out that Nate told Vanessa that Dan had feelings for her... blah blah... all pretty boring, if you ask me.  Serena shows up and sees Nate hand in hand with Juliet (to make Serena jealous) and Dan hand in hand with Vanessa.  She was also greeted by Milo (Georgina's baby)... and is confused.  Dan said that he will fill her in later.  OH.. and about Georgina... that broad went to a SPA?  What the eff ever... lies!  That girl is evil... just looking at her, she looks evil.

Now I wonder...

  • Will Georgina return for her baby?
  • Its not Dan's baby (I am sure of this), but how long is that paternity is going to take?
  • Will there be trouble with Eva and Blair over Chuck? Will Eva even go to the states with Chuck?  If so... I wonder if she is going to adjust to his lifestyle. I am willing to bet that she is going to hook up with either Dan or Nate at one point... but wouldn't it be crazy if she hooked up with Rufus? HAHA... age ain't no thang!
  • Are Blair and Serena going to get along at Columbia?  Maybe they've all grown up now and changed?
  • Who was on the phone with Juliet?  You know, the one she told, "I miss you, too" to?  I'm guessing it is Nate's uncle... remember him? LOL
Until next time, XOXO!!

P.S.  How adorable is this dress in this episode? I love it!

Gossip Girl - Season 4 Episode 1 - 'Belles de Jour'

After Season 3's Finale, I felt like I was counting down the days for Season 4 to start.  I will try not to spoil it for those who have not seen the ending to Season 3, but oh my gosh... how intense was it?  I swear my heart had not raced like that for a very long time.  I wasn't at the edge of my seat... I couldn't even sit down!

I used to not be into the show because I had no idea what it was about, but sometime in early 2009, I started watching the show online (out of boredom) and I was hooked.  Whoever the director is, they do a wonderful job of keeping the audience hooked.  Much kudos!

SO... Season 4 finally started the other night (Mondays at 9pm on the CW for those who didn't know).  I was waiting months and months for it to start again, so you better believe that I cleared my schedule for it.

I should have re-watched Season 3 because I was somewhat lost and confused.  So was it Chuck's body that washed up on shore or was it someone else that they mistook as Chuck?  I know that he messed up (big time), but why the double life?  Over a girl?  She's not even all that cute... Blair is much more beautiful and he'd better do anything and everything to get her back.  Blair is too funny... I adore her so much... even when she can be a total biatch at times.  She has a big heart... at least I think so.

And GOSSIP GIRL cannot be revealed that early on, can she?  Its just to throw us (the audience) off.  The girl is probably obsessed with Gossip Girl, but that cannot be her.  Mark my words!  I cannot wait until Monday.  :)

For those who have been following up and actually saw it, what do you think?
If you are not caught up, don't click on the comments... haha!

Hugs and Kisses!
